Follow these steps to calculate the vehicle duty in Malawi:
- Determine the vehicle's engine capacity in cc (cubic centimeters). This information can usually be found on the vehicle's registration documents or by checking the vehicle's manual.

- Determine the age of the vehicle. This is calculated from the year
of manufacture to the year of importation into Malawi.
Formula to calculate the vehicle duty:

- 8 to 9 years old: 5%
- More than 9 years old: 0%
